Recently, Zhang Yingjie and Liu Jie’s “Technical Manual of Practical Science Sheep Raise” edited by China Agricultural Science and Technology Publishing House was published.
The content of this article is selected from the “Practical Scientific Sheep Raising Technology Manual”, China Agricultural Science and Technology Publishing House, December 1, 2020, and the first printing in December 2020. Zhang Yingjie and Liu Jie compiled by Tao Lian.
·brief introduction ·
The sheep industry in my country has a long history, and the variety of cotton and goats is rich in resources. With the advancement of science and technology and the development of society, in recent decades, China’s sheep farming industry has developed rapidly, achieved remarkable achievements, and broad prospects. In the majority of agricultural areas, pastoral areas, and semi -agricultural and semi -pastoral areas, the development of sheep farming has huge potential. Due to the low cost of sheep raising and easy to raise, many areas have become an important industry for rural rejuvenation through the development of poverty alleviation in the sheep farming industry. However, many farms (households) are still lacking in scientific breeding management technologies, and they do not maximize their production potential. In order to popularize scientific sheep raising technology, we compiled the practical scientific scientific sheep technology manual in combination with our work practice based on our work practice based on consulted a large number of domestic and foreign literature.

How to prepare dietary
Sheep’s food refers to the total number of various feeds that a sheep eat within a day and night, but in actual production, it is not to cooperate with the diet as needed by a sheep a day. Feds are fed with a batch of mixed feeds in a certain proportion. Generally, the more types of feed used in diets, the more nutritional indicators are selected. The more complicated the calculation process, and sometimes it is difficult to calculate the dietary formulation by hand. In modern animal husbandry production, with the help of computers, through the principle of linear planning, it can easily and quickly find the best diet formula with full -price and low cost.
(1) Determine nutritional needs
Query the breeding standards of sheep, according to the average weight and physiological status of the flock, find various nutritional needs. You can refer to the US NRC standard or domestic breeding standards and make appropriate adjustments according to the specific situation of the region.
(2) Determine the nutritional ingredients selected by the formula
Check the common feed ingredients and nutritional value of sheep, and list common parameters. For accurate requirements, the content value of the measured raw material can be used.
(3) Determine the feeding of various types of coarse feed
Based on the source, quality and price of local coarse feeds, the crude feed is selected to the maximum extent. If the thick ratio of fatty lambs is 6: 4, the amount of coarse feed can be calculated according to this proportion. Among them, green feed and silage can be calculated at 1 kg of green dried grass and dry straw per 3 kg.
(4) Determine the formula and quantity of mixed precision feed
Compared with breeding standards, the amount of nutrients provided by the remaining feed should be calculated. The total nutritional daily nutrition needs to be different from the nutrients provided by coarse feed, that is, the nutrients provided by the precision feed part. Adjust the proportion of fine feed raw materials until the feeding standard is required.
(5) Determine the formula of the diet
After completing the nutrients and quantities of the coarse feed and essence, the various nutrients provided by all feeds are summarized to adjust the content of minerals (mainly calcium and phosphorus) and salt. At this time, if the content of calcium and phosphorus does not reach the nutritional needs of sheep, it is necessary to adjust it with appropriate mineral feed. Add another salt.
Finally, the sum of nutrients provided by all feed ingredients, compared with the breeding standards, and adjusted to the two. If the actual amount of provision is within the range of ± 5 %, it means that the formula is reasonable. If this range exceeds this range, the amount of individual essence should be adjusted appropriately to fully meet the needs of various nutrients without causing waste.
