Because the home projection of LED light sources uses the native red, green and blue three -color LED, the LED light source projection can theoretically cover the SRGB color gamut. At present It can reach the SRGB color gamut coverage of more than 90%, and some good products can even achieve 98%. This is the color gamut performance that the same price monochrome laser projection cannot reach.

Many people criticize that the brightness of LED light sources is low. This is indeed the same. Early, the technical restrictions of LED light sources were limited by LED light sources. The projection brightness of LED light sources was often low. However, with the rapid development of LED light source technology in recent years, high -power LED optoelectronics semiconductors have been popularized, and now the Household projection brightness of LED light sources has entered 2000ANSI. For example It can cover the entire home scene.

❷ laser light source

If the LED light source is the moment of the projector, then the laser light source is the future, because the biggest advantage of the laser light source is the brightness, far exceeding the current LED light source. At the same time, the laser light source can directly select the red, green, and blue laser generator of the required specific band according to the need. The limits that the domain can cover, taking the Sony A90J OLED TV as an example. It can only cover 70.95% of the BT.2020 color gamut, and even P3 color gamut can only cover 98.16%.

However, it should be noted that the above is just theory. In fact, there are still many problems that are not solved in the current laser light source application. There are two main types of laser light sources on the market. One is monochrome laser and the other is three -color laser.

However, the projection product that is not recommended at present is the projection of monochrome laser. Monochrome laser needs to rely on filter/color wheels to stimulate the three primary colors. Color laser projection cannot achieve color and brightness. If you want to play the brightness advantage of the laser, you must sacrifice the color purity of the three primary colors, that is, the color gamut coverage of the projection screen. Taking Dangbei X3 and Mijia laser projection as an example, its SRGB color gamut coverage is only 80 80 About %, far lower than the average level of LED light sources on the market, and greatly sacrificing the brightness improvement of the quality of the picture quality. Something is a bit more worthy.

Someone here will ask, what about the purity of the laser? That means that monochrome laser cannot bring higher brightness. Under the same color gamut coverage, the brightness of monochrome lasers is not even as good as the performance of three -color LED.
